    Sherry Ann H. White, 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to rest with the Lord Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2022, at the Fountain Springs Healthcare in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was a Wyoming cowgirl through and through. She grew up in a very loving family, the Dillavous, just outside of Aladdin, Wyoming, on a small dairy farm. Shortly after high school, she met the love of her life, Richard White of Spearfish, South Dakota. They quickly fell in love and were very happily married for a mere 61 years.     Crook County’s elected officials are set to see a significant salary increase for the first time in many years. The county commission has approved raises across the board to ensure that those individuals elected to serve the county are paid at a rate that better matches inflation and is more competitive with similar roles in surrounding communities and private industry.     Black Hills National Forest campgrounds are scheduled to open Friday, May 13 and seasonal gates will all be open Monday, May 16, 2022. The Forest offers 30 campgrounds with more than 680 individual sites. Many of the campgrounds are operated by a Forest Service recreation service partner, Forest Recreation Management, (FRM) Inc. based in Hill City, SD, under a concession permit.
