Sherry Ann H. White, 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to rest with the Lord Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2022, at the Fountain Springs Healthcare in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was a Wyoming cowgirl through and through. She grew up in a very loving family, the Dillavous, just outside of Aladdin, Wyoming, on a small dairy farm. The annual Old West Invitational Turkey Shoot was held last week, May 5 through 7 at the GHCC. The event kicked off with a music event at the Devils Tower golf club sponsored by the Country Outdoors concert series. Thursday night was the calcutta and Friday morning kicked off the hunt. Black Hills National Forest campgrounds are scheduled to open Friday, May 13 and seasonal gates will all be open Monday, May 16, 2022. The Forest offers 30 campgrounds with more than 680 individual sites. Many of the campgrounds are operated by a Forest Service recreation service partner, Forest Recreation Management, (FRM) Inc. based in Hill City, SD, under a concession permit. Girl taken from Alaska found in Gillette CHEYENNE (WNE) — U.S. marshals and Gillette Police Department officers on Friday afternoon found a child kidnapped from Alaska earlier this spring. The recovery followed the arrest of the noncustodial mother in Gillette, according to a U.S. Marshals Service announcement Friday.
