    Sarah Pridgeon|Feb 9, 2023

U.S. Senators Cynthia Lummis and John Barrasso have resubmitted a bill that would protect the name of Devils Tower National Monument. Ogden Driskill, Wyoming Senate President|Feb 9, 2023

As I report at the end of week four of the 67th General Session of the Wyoming Legislature, the Wyoming Senate is in the middle of third reading debate on SF0001, also known as the supplemental budget bill. Budget debate signals perhaps the Legislature’s most important responsibility: balancing our state’s checkbook and allocating taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Unlike many recent sessions, this year lawmakers start with the fortunate question of how to appropriate a nearly $2 billion surpl...

  • Wyoming saw population influx from Colorado during pandemic, data shows

Carrie Haderlie, Wyoming Tribune Eagle Via Wyoming News Exchange|Feb 9, 2023

CHEYENNE — Data from the early pandemic years shows that more people migrated into Wyoming than left the state, and most came to the Equality State from Colorado. An influx of people from the Front Range means potential new businesses and additional workforce, but also puts a strain on the Capital City’s already stretched-thin housing market, experts say. “I would say that this is a wonderful, terrible thing. As we look for economic growth and business growth, Colorado is a good market for us,” said Dale Steenbergen, president and CEO of the...

  • DRESSED UP TATER TOTS

Vicki Hayman, Community Vitality and Health Educator|Feb 9, 2023

The much-loved food, tater tots, is often considered a staple of American comfort food. They offer the best of both worlds with a creamy center and a crispy, deep-fried exterior. The tater tot has not always been as popular as it is today. Recent food trends have made this salty morsel a must-have item for restaurants all across the country. In the 1950s, Ore-Ida came up with the tater tot to limit food waste during French fry production. The moment these little morsels hit the shelf, tater tots were a hit.
