    With fire season already underway, Crook County is now under burn restrictions. Fire Warden Charlie Harrison requested the restrictions be put in place last week, telling the county commissioners that more Wyoming acres burned in February than in the entirety of 2023. While the county has had a little moisture recently, in some places there was "barely any", he said, and temperatures are still above average. "There's no good news in the forecast," he said.     The sixth annual Hulett Red Devil cheerleader chili supper and fundraiser was held last Saturday at the Greater Hulett community Center. Chili was provided by the Ponderosa and the event had a silent and a live auction. Both auctions had wonderful donations from local and area businesses.     It was a packed house at the GHCC for the program "Moorcroft and the Cattle Trails". The program was sponsored by the Hulett Museum and the Hulett Library. Cindy Mosteller, Director of the West Texas Trail Museum, talked about how Moorcroft got its start and the cattle trails that helped influence the area.     Betty Wilson, 91 of Hulett, Wyoming passed away on March 5, 2024 at Crook County Hospital, surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was born on May 29, 1932, in Atwood Indiana to Wesley and Ethel Orcutt. She grew up on a farm outside of Atwood, Indiana with her sisters, Helen and Genevieve and her brothers, Bob and Albert.
