Hulett Town Council

The Hulett Town Council met on May 3, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Johnson, Kennah and Mayor Parsons. Absent was councilman Bears.

Motion to approve the agenda, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion to approve the minutes, Backen/Kennah, mc.

Financial report was given by Clerk Bears. Motion to approve, Backen/Kennah, mc.

Police report – More complaints about a horse in town, including noise and smell. Finalizing details on street dance.

PWD – Parks are open and water is on. Ben asked if we could surplus some property. A Genie lift, trailer, tool box and the sweeper. Motion was made to start the process Johnson/Kennah, mc. Bids will be taken until June 7. The culvert on Bush Street will be looked at again.

Motion to pay general bills, Backen/Johnson, mc.

Motion to pay airport bills, Backen/Johnson, mc.

Fireworks will be allowed Sat. Sun. and Monday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Tuesday, July 4th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Motion to block off mainstreet for the street dance on June 10th, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion to approve the Fowler fence permit, Bears/Backen, mc.

Motion to approve Ordinance 1 Series 2023 on 2nd reading, Kennah/Backen , mc.

Motion to approve Ordinance 2 Series 2023 on 2nd reading, Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to approve the rodeo malt beverage permit, Kennah/Johnson, mc.

Motion to sign the contract with family violence, Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to transfer airport entitlement money to Lusk, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion to renew contract with Union Cell service, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Council instructed the clerk to order another dumpster.
