Golfers take to the streets of Hulett

Eighteen teams of four hit the streets of Hulett for Urban Golf. What is Urban Golf? Hitting tennis balls with golf clubs on the streets.

Golf does not have to be on a manicured golf course, it can be on sand courses all over this country or can be played on the streets of your local town.

The four-person scramble event was put on as a fundraiser for the Hulett High School Ecology trip. This educational tour around Wyoming happens bi-annually and is a fantastic learning experience for the juniors and seniors to see the whole state to learn more about our wonderful state.

This trip covers all parts of our homeland from Hulett to Yellowstone, Evanston to Cheyenne.

The Urban Golf event raided $1350 on the day. Neiman Enterprises was generous enough to match the donation to help with expenses for the trip to make the grand total $2700.

The Urban Golf Tournament was played on Hunter, Sager and Riverside streets in Hulett. The nine-hole course presented some unique challenges but ultimately the winning score was 25 by the team of Kendra and Trampas Meidinger, April Harrison and Jamie Kimball.

Sponsoring the event were Neiman Enterprises, 307 Auto Sales, Ben and Amy Pravecek, BN Doors & Seamless Gutters, Marc and Danielle Wood, Wood Boys Meat Cutting, Chief Bill Motley, Hooks Limo Service – Charlie Hook, T&D Storage, Advantage Outfitters, Roberts Ranch, Larry and Lori Backen, Board Wood Customs, The Golf Club at Devils Tower, Mike and Jen Stevens. Food sponsor was Dean Coronato and the Ponderosa Café & Bar.

There were 72 players in the event and a fun time was had by all. We will do it again next March.
