Legislative meeting held in Hulett

The Wyoming Joint Corporations, Elections & Political Subdivisions Legislative Committee met in Hulett at the Greater Hulett Community Center for a two-day session last week. During the meeting, the committee heard from the Public Service Commission (PSC) on issues related to electricity such as renewable energy concerns and suggested statutory changes. The 2023 sunset date for the Telecommunications Act was discussed and whether it will be necessary to make any statutory amendments to protect providers. The Committee considered the issue of pharmacy benefit managers and reviewed Senate File 0036, which didn't reach the house floor during the budget session. Insurance code and related statutes were considered, as were liquor laws and efforts aimed at setting fees at a fair market value for retail liquor licenses. The meeting on the second day concluded with discussion on workforce housing.
