Luke Peterson and Echo Bohl were the top two checkers players when the Hulett Public Library held their first annual checkers tournament. Six people participated in the event.
An elimination process was held to determine the winner and, after several games, Luke Peterson was the first-place winner, taking home $60. Coming in second was Echo Bohl with a $40 prize.
