Hulett Town Council

The Hulett Town Council met on July 2, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Bears, Kennah, Maher and Mayor Parsons. Motion to approve the agenda as amended, Kennah/Backen, mc. Motion to approve the minutes from the June meeting, Backen/Bears, mc.

Propane bids were open. Blakeman $1.25 a gallon and Alderman was $1.50. Motion to approve the Blakeman bid, Bears/Kennah mc.

Financial report was given. Audit will be July 22-23. Gworks has bought out ubmax so the clerk presented their proposal. It would be $3,500 a year for a package that is similar to what we already have.

Larry Backen asked if his street could be blocked off on July 27 from 5-10 p.m. Motion to approve request, Maher/Bears, mc.

Brian Neiman for the recreation board reported the rodeo went well. Baseball was good and is over. Next meeting will be July 31 at 7 p.m. He asked if the council would prepare a resolution outlining the duties of the rec board.

The August town council meeting will be held Aug. 1st at 7:00 p.m.

Police – No report

PWD -Alley concrete is done behind Red Rock.

Motion to pay general bills, Kennah Bears, mc.

Motion to pay airport bills, Backen/Bears, mc.

The clerk was asked to contact the attorney and ask about liability on the storage lot.

WyoClass is an investment tool for towns and governments. Hulett may consider this option. Tabled.

The Campbell County Medical asked if the town would submit a letter of support for a helipad. Motion to write a letter of support, Kennah/Backen mc.

Rally liquor licenses:

Motion to approve Penning enterprises, Backen/Bears, mc. Motion to approve 2 catering permits for the Rodeo Bar, Bears/Backen, mc. Motion to approve 2 catering permits for the Ponderosa, Kennah/Backen, mc.

There will be a rally workshop on July 11th at 6 p.m. to discuss sanitation fees.

Motion to have the Public works change the lights and meter at the pickle ball/storage lot, Kennah/Maher, mc.

Motion to have the Mayor sign the mitigation plan with the Crook County Emergency Services, Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to have Mayor sign the dedication of public easement on the 5th lot at Red Devil Drive, Backen/Kennah, mc.
