PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AT THE COURTHOUSE IN SUNDANCE, CROOK COUNTY, WYOMING

8:30 o’clock a.m. Present for the special meeting for a budget work session for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget were Chairman Kelly B. Dennis, Vice-Chairwoman Jeanne A. Whalen, Member Fred M. Devish (via conference call) and County Clerk Melissa Jones.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the Flag.
Theresa Curren, County Assessor, discussed the 2022 Assessed Valuations, Tammy Jundt, County Treasurer, discussed projected revenues and cash carryover and Melissa Jones, County Clerk, discussed county budget requests with the Board.
The Board reviewed 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget requests with Doug Leis, County Fire Warden, Tammy Jundt, County Treasurer, Alycia Conroy-Davis, District Supervisor, Weed & Pest, Tim Lyons, Administrator, County Planning, Theresa Curren, County Assessor and Dan Thomas, Field Deputy.
Adjourned for lunch at 11:56 o’clock a.m.
1:00 o’clock p.m. Present were Chairman Kelly B. Dennis, Vice-Chairwoman Jeanne A. Whalen, Member Fred M. Devish (via conference call) and County Clerk Melissa Jones.
The Board reviewed 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget requests with Jill Mackey, Director and Bonnie Stahla, Children’s Librarian, Crook County Library, Randy Leinen, Chairman and Richard Sacket, Treasurer, Crook County Library Board, Carol Stutzman, Crook County Public Health, Carolyn Fowler, Secretary, Crook County Fair, Josh Franzen, Crook County Fair Board and Melissa Jones, Crook County Clerk.
Jeanne moved to approve a letter to Sundance State Bank to add a card to the Crook County Sheriff account in the name of Alex Jessen, remove the card in the name of Todd Leimser and update the contact information on the account and a letter to add a card to the Crook County Clerk account in the name of Melissa Jones and remove the card in the name of Linda Fritz. Fred seconded, all ayes, motion carried.

The Board reviewed 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget requests with Joe Baron, County Attorney, Tina Wood, Clerk of District Court, Larry Schommer, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, Jeff Hodge, County Sheriff and Morgan Ellsbury, Road & Bridge Superintendent.

The Board reviewed 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget requests with Sara Fleenor, UW Area Educator, Extension Office.
Present for the transfer of liquor license for Devils Tower Gulch were Barb & Randy Gantz and Ashley & Lincoln Driskill.
Jeanne moved to approve the following transfer license with an expiration date of 11/7/2022:
• Transfer license held by Devils Tower Gulch LLC dba Devils Tower Gulch to LA Driskill LLC dba Devils Tower Gulch-County Retail Liquor License.
Fred seconded, all ayes, motion carried.
The Board continued to work on the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
Jeanne moved to send a letter to Fair & Library to keep the 7% raise and cut their expenditures by 5% and have a new proposed budget to the board by July 5th. Fred seconded, all ayes, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 2:00 o’clock p.m. to meet in regular session on July 5 & 6, 2022 at 8:30 o’clock a.m. in the Commissioners’ Room at the Courthouse in Sundance, Wyoming.
