National Education Week was Nov. 13 through 19. During this time the American Legion Auxiliary donates a case of apples to the teachers and employees at the Hulett school. Margaret Frances White, 99, of Devils Tower, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, November, 23, 2022, at Crook County Memorial Nursing Home. Margaret was born February 23, 1923, at home on Houston Creek in Crook County, Wyoming, to James and Amalia (Reinhold) Bowers. She attended Houston Creek country school and later graduated from Sundance High School. Margaret then attended Spearfish Teachers College. Last month, Devils Tower staff attended a high-angle rope rescue course. This course was instructed within the monument by "Rigging for Rescue" out of Ouray, CO. The two-week seminar included detailed instruction on high-angle rescue systems and how to use technical equipment for practical use. Gillette man charged with first-degree arson GILLETTE (WNE) — A man accused of setting his trailer on fire and covering himself in bleach has been charged in circuit court with first-degree arson. Andrew L. Boyer, 34, was charged Sept. 8 and his preliminary hearing in circuit court is scheduled for Dec. 14.
