The Hulett Clay Target League has completed another year of trap shooting competition. The seven gunners, Zac Palus, Grant Busenitz, Logan Dirks, Abigail Palus, Elena Busenitz, Aiden Williams and Cameron Dirks, were led by Coach Jim Palus and Range Safety Officer Beth McCollum. The tenth annual paraglider Devils Tower Fly In was held last Thursday through Saturday. Paragliders and their families came from several surrounding states to participate. Paragliders say they love coming to the Hulett area with its beautiful scenery and conducive to great flying conditions. Over 20 paragliders took to the skies of Hulett this year. Group leader Shawn O'Shane says they appreciate the wonderful airport and hospitality shown from the community....
Family and friends celebrated the anniversaries of three Knapp couples last Saturday at the GHCC. Jerry and Marilyn Knapp were celebrated for 70 years, while their sons and wives, Kent and Jeanine and Jerry D. and Wendy celebrated 50. The GHCC was full of well-wishers who enjoyed looking at pictures of the couples that chronicled their lives together. Lunch was provided by Buttons and Bows and by Kent Knapp....

Peggy McAmis is the Hulett library patron highlight for June. She comes in almost weekly to check out books. Sometimes she brings her husband, David, with her. Both are pretty avid readers. She is a member of the Book Discussion Group and is also a participant of the five-mile walking exercise class on Monday and Thursday nights. Kidnapped man lands up to 14 years in prison GILLETTE (WNE) — A Gillette man who pleaded guilty to the second-degree sexual abuse of a minor received has been sentenced to ten to 14 years in prison. Zackery Minard, 22, was found in bed with a 14-year-old girl by the girl’s mother, who called her boyfriend, Timothy James Ott.
